Mataranka Homestead is a unique tourism and hospitality destination located in the world-famous Mataranka region. We offer accommodation, food and beverage services, events and authentic outback experiences to visitors from across Australia and around the world.
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Accommodation & Hospitality Manager to lead our accommodation and hospitality operations and ensure exceptional guest experiences while supporting the continued growth of our business.
About the Role
This is a hands-on leadership position responsible for the day-to-day management of accommodation, guest services, housekeeping, hospitality operations and staff supervision.
The successful applicant will play a key role in delivering outstanding customer service, maintaining operational standards and driving business performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily accommodation and hospitality operations.
- Lead and supervise front-of-house, housekeeping and hospitality staff.
- Ensure exceptional guest service and customer satisfaction.
- Coordinate bookings, check-ins and guest enquiries.
- Manage staffing rosters and workforce planning.
- Monitor accommodation standards and cleanliness.
- Assist with recruitment, onboarding and staff training.
- Manage stock ordering and inventory control.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, liquor licensing and workplace health and safety requirements.
- Monitor budgets and operational costs.
- Assist with marketing initiatives, events and tourism activities.
- Develop positive relationships with guests, suppliers and community stakeholders.
- Support business growth and continuous improvement initiatives.
Skills and Experience
Essential
- Minimum 2 years' experience in hospitality, accommodation or tourism management.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Excellent customer service and communication abilities.
- Experience managing teams and rostering staff.
- Sound computer and administration skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
- Current Driver Licence.
Desirable
- Qualification in Hospitality, Tourism, Business or Management.
- Experience in remote or regional hospitality operations.
- Knowledge of reservation and booking systems.
- First Aid Certificate.
- Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) Certificate.
