About the Role
Make an impact on some of Australia's most significant Defence, Infrastructure and Facilities Management opportunities. As an Estimator / Senior Commercial Analyst within our Strategy & Growth Team, you'll be instrumental in developing competitive, commercially sound solutions that help shape Ventia's future success.
Working closely with Bid Managers, Commercial teams, Operational Subject Matter Experts, and key stakeholders, you will be responsible for developing robust, accurate and competitive pricing solutions that drive growth and deliver value for our customers.
This is a Permanent Full-Time opportunity offering hybrid working and offering a competitive salary package between 160,000 - 170,000 based out of our new North Sydney Offices or Cremorne, Victoria offices, but open to applications from other states.
Key Responsibilities
As a key member of the bid team, you will:

Develop detailed first-principles estimates and pricing models for major tender submissions.

Review tender documentation and pricing schedules to understand scope and commercial requirements.

Engage operational stakeholders to develop practical and cost-effective delivery solutions.

Build labour cost models aligned with Enterprise Agreements and relevant awards.

Prepare and manage subcontractor and supplier pricing enquiries.

Evaluate, negotiate and validate subcontractor, vendor, equipment and material quotations.

Conduct commercial and value-add analysis to support bid strategy and solution development.

Lead the preparation and maintenance of Basis of Estimate documentation.

Support the transition of successful bids into operational delivery teams.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will bring:

Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent industry experience.

Proven estimating experience within Facilities Management, Defence, Infrastructure, Operations & Maintenance, or a related industry.

Experience supporting complex tender responses and bid submissions.

Strong commercial acumen and analytical capability.

Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
