About the role
As a Pool Assistant, you provide customer service and perform tasks assigned by the Supervisor in accordance with the City and Facility policies and procedures. You will be responsible for maintaining the presentation of the facility at the highest possible standard and duties will include operating the kiosk and reception and cleaning of the pools, pool decks and change rooms as required.
You are a team player with good communication and customer service skills. You have the ability to use your own initiative and are motivated to provide your services at a high standard.
It is essential that you possess the following:
- Current Provide First Aid Certificate.
- Current CPR Certificate.
- Current Bronze Medallion.
It will be highly regarded if you possess:
- Current Pool Lifeguard Certificate.
- Current Working with Children Check.
To be considered for this role, you must address the following selection criteria as part of your online application:
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Previous experience in a customer service position
This position may be expected to work across both the Aqua Jetty and the Rockingham Aquatic Centre. Applicants must be flexible and available to work in line with the facilities opening hours. Positions are offered with a guaranteed minimum 5 hours per week.
Aqua Jetty operates seven days per week, from 5.00am to 9.00pm Monday to Friday and 6.30am to 7.00pm Saturday and Sunday. All shifts will fall within these hours of operation.
Rockingham Aquatic Centre operates seven days per week, during the months September to April. All shifts will fall within these hours of operation, view the City of Rockingham website for operating hours.
What we offer
The hourly rate for this position is as follows:
$27.60 per hour, plus superannuation
