About the role
As we grow, enquiries, orders, and admin are piling up — and we need a calm, organised person to be our friendly first point of contact and keep things running smoothly behind the scenes. Since our launch, as the founders, we have been scaling ourselves and creating systems around us. What we really need is someone that can take initiative and use their creativity to solve solutions autonomously; bring suggestions for improvement and an achievable plan on how to execute it. You'll be the reliable one who makes sure nothing falls through the cracks, handling what you can yourself and routing the rest to the right person.
We're starting this at around 3 days a week, with a clear runway to full-time as the business grows — ideal if you want to get in early and build the role around you.
What you'll do
- Answer phone and email enquiries — handle what you can, pass the rest to the right manager
- Take lead orders from installer clients and enter them into the system
- Assist with onboarding new hires
- Assist with onboarding new clients
- Book travel for the founders and managers
- Provide ad-hoc PA and admin support
- Work closely with the operations manager and director as the business grows
What we're looking for
- Strong phone manner and clear written communication
- Highly organised, with the ability to juggle multiple tasks without dropping any
- Able to follow a process and know when to handle vs. escalate
- Comfortable and self-directed working remotely
- Confident with Google Workspace, email, calendars, and AI tools (or a fast learner)
- Access to reliable, high speed internet
- Access to your own computer
Desirable (not essential)
- Reception, PA/EA, admin, or customer service experience
- Exposure to solar, sales, or an agency environment
