New Medical Imaging is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Sonographer to join our new comprehensive radiology practice in Wallan.
This is an opportunity to become a key member of a new practice from its commencement, with the potential for partnership and equity participation for the right candidate.
This will be a comprehensive medical imaging practice with radiologists on site, providing:
- MRI
- CT
- Ultrasound
- General X-ray
- Bone Densitometry
- Image-guided procedures and Interventional Radiology
You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team with direct access to radiologists for case discussion, clinical support and professional development.

The Role
Depending on your experience and areas of interest, your ultrasound work may include:
- General abdominal and pelvic ultrasound
- Obstetric and gynaecological ultrasound
- Small parts
- Musculoskeletal ultrasound
- Vascular ultrasound
- Paediatric ultrasound
- Assistance with ultrasound-guided procedures
The position can be tailored around your existing expertise while providing opportunities to develop additional skills.
Develop Beyond Ultrasound
With MRI, CT, X-ray and Bone Densitometry available within the same practice, sonographers will have the opportunity to correlate ultrasound findings with other imaging modalities and discuss cases directly with the on-site radiologists.
We encourage continuing professional development and will support sonographers interested in expanding their skills in areas such as musculoskeletal, vascular, obstetric and interventional ultrasound.
Partnership Opportunity
For an experienced and motivated sonographer interested in more than an employee position, we are open to discussing a partnership or equity participation arrangement.

Applicants should have:
- Current ASAR accreditation
- Appropriate recognised postgraduate ultrasound qualifications
- Strong clinical ultrasound skills
- Commitment to high-quality examinations and patient care
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team

About New Medical Imaging
New Medical Imaging is an established, independent Melbourne radiology group currently operating practices in Craigieburn, Broadmeadows and Gladstone Park.
Our existing practices provide a broad range of diagnostic and interventional imaging services, supported by experienced radiologists, sonographers, radiographers, nurses and administrative staff.
The new Wallan practice represents the next stage of the group's expansion and will provide comprehensive medical imaging services to Melbourne's growing northern region.
For the successful sonographer, this is a rare opportunity to join a new comprehensive radiology centre from its commencement and, for the right candidate, participate in its future ownership and growth.
