About the role
This is a subcontractor position , you will be engaged on an ABN basis and will submit invoices for hours worked. You will play an important support role in keeping the day-to-day operations of the business running smoothly, assisting with communications, basic administration, and data entry tasks.
Preferred working days: Monday, Wednesday, and Friday — mornings preferred.
Key responsibilities
- Assist with setting up and managing the business landline and phone communications
- Liaise with workers, staff, clients, and the business director to support smooth daily operations
- Perform basic data entry in MYOB, including creating invoices, preparing quotes, and updating contact records
- Handle general office administration and miscellaneous tasks as required
- Maintain accurate records and support the director with ad-hoc requests to keep the business running efficiently
Skills and experience
- Responsible, punctual, and demonstrates a strong work ethic — these are essential
- Working knowledge of MYOB (data entry, invoicing, and contacts)
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and general computer literacy
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively
- Previous experience in an office or administration role is highly regarded
- Must hold a current ABN to invoice for services rendered
Remuneration & engagement
- Starting rate of $25.00 per hour
- Engaged as a subcontractor — payment made upon receipt of a valid tax invoice
