Description:
About the Role
As our Food Technologist, you'll be the technical link between concept and production. You'll apply your food science knowledge to help implement new meal products and improve existing ones, running trials, refining processes and ensuring every new concept translates smoothly from the R&D kitchen to our production facility.
You'll also play a key role in maintaining our existing products, keeping recipes, SOPs and process documentation accurate and up to date, while ensuring everything meets our quality and HACCP standards.
What You'll Be Doing
- Applying food science expertise to support new product development and improve existing processes
- Running product trials and supporting the implementation of new projects into production
- Partnering closely with R&D, QA, Operations and our Concept Development Chefs
- Reviewing and updating recipes, visual guides and SOPs and supporting equipment validation with technical insight
- Conducting sensory evaluations on raw materials and finished products
- Identifying risks and opportunities in recipe and process and driving improvements
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Food Science, or equivalent industry experience within an FMCG environment
- Advanced Microsoft Word and Excel skills, with a solid understanding of regulatory requirements (FSANZ / HACCP)
- A detail-driven, hands-on approach, someone who thrives on getting into the trial process, not just the theory
- Strong communication skills and a genuine team player attitude
- The ability to plan, prioritise and stay organised across multiple projects
Why Join Us?
You'll be part of a collaborative, hands-on R&D team where your work has a direct impact, from the kitchen to the customer's plate. We offer a supportive team environment, career development opportunities and the chance to contribute to products that reach thousands of Australian homes every week.
