What You'll Need

The Role
We are seeking an experienced Data Architect to join a high-performing data and analytics team.
This is a strategic and hands-on role focused on defining enterprise data architecture, data strategy, governance frameworks, and modern data platform capabilities. You will play a key role in shaping the organisation's data vision, establishing architectural standards, and designing scalable data solutions that enable reporting, analytics, machine learning, and data-driven decision making.
The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience across data architecture, data engineering, data governance, and modern cloud data platforms, with a proven track record of delivering large-scale enterprise data transformation initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Define and design enterprise data architecture, data modelling standards, governance frameworks, and data capability roadmaps.
Develop and maintain data strategies aligned to business objectives and technology direction.
Design and govern modern data platforms, tools, standards, and operating models.
Define and communicate future-state strategies for business intelligence, analytics, and data capabilities.
Produce and maintain data solution architectures and data product designs through architecture governance and approval processes.
Ensure data solutions are reusable, scalable, secure, and aligned with enterprise standards and best practices.
Create and evolve data technology roadmaps that support changing business requirements.
Define and improve data architecture standards, governance processes, and integration patterns.
Act as a trusted advisor to business leaders and technology stakeholders on data strategy and direction.
Collaborate with project managers and delivery teams to support planning, estimation, dependency management, and solution delivery.
Lead architecture workshops, work breakdown sessions, and solution design reviews.
Drive alignment between data initiatives, enterprise architecture, and strategic business objectives.
Support data product, data mesh, analytics, reporting, machine learning, and data-sharing initiatives across the organisation.
Desirable Skills
Telecommunications industry experience.
Experience with cloud-native data platforms and enterprise-scale data transformation programs.
Exposure to AI, machine learning, and advanced analytics platforms.
Experience developing enterprise data governance and operating models.
Knowledge of data security, privacy, and regulatory compliance frameworks.
Experience working with architecture governance boards and enterprise architecture frameworks.
Knowledge of AWS cloud services and modern data ecosystem tooling.
Relevant certifications in Data Architecture, Cloud Architecture, AWS, or Enterprise Architecture.
