We are seeking an Improvement Specialist to lead the planning and delivery of key programs with a focus on building team capability in continuous improvement, supporting local initiatives, and helping new ideas become part of day-to-day operations for our Specialist Operations and Coordination division. The division is responsible for delivering and coordinating care through AV's communications centres, secondary triage services, rostering, emergency management, aeromedical, stroke telemedicine and critical care retrieval teams.
This is a full-time, permanent position. While WFH/Hybrid options are available, it is essential that the successful applicant maintains a presence at Burwood East in line with our hybrid working model.
About the role
Reporting to the Operational Communications Advisor responsibilities of this position include but not limited to:
- Design and deliver best practice program and project management tools, methodologies, and governance arrangements to build improvement and innovation capability across the division
- Manage divisional projects using best practices to ensure quality, timely delivery, and successful integration into operational practices
- Develop systems and processes to monitor the effectiveness of improvement initiatives after implementation, providing reports and recommendations as required to support continual improvement
- Support business plan development to meet strategic objectives
- Support the divisional leadership team to prioritise and sequence the delivery of workplan items and project deliverables
About you
To be considered for this role, candidates should have a completion of a postgraduate degree or relevant industry certification in improvement science or project management (or progress toward) with high level relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of training and sound experience.
Other requirements include but not limited to:
- Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing complex projects across multiple initiatives and a broad change agenda, impacting critical business processes and systems
- Demonstrated experience coaching and building capability in project management or improvement science
- High level interpersonal, influencing and communication skills including the ability to prepare high quality reports and documents for a variety of audiences
- Advanced planning and organisational skills to establish the priority and scheduling of work tasks for self and others and operate effectively in a high workload environment
