Workforce Engine is recruiting on behalf of an established Queensland construction and development company with more than 30 years of industry experience. The business delivers a diverse range of residential townhouse developments, villa projects and commercial construction works across Southeast Queensland.
An opportunity is available for an experienced Project Administrator to support the planning, coordination and delivery of multiple construction and development projects.
About the Role
Working closely with Project Managers, site teams, consultants, subcontractors and suppliers, you will play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered efficiently on schedule and in accordance with project objectives.
Key Responsibilities
· Assist with the administration and coordination of residential and commercial construction projects from commencement through to completion.
· Prepare, review and maintain project documentation, contracts, scopes of work, variations and project registers.
· Liaise with Project Managers, architects, engineers, contractors, suppliers, consultants and other stakeholders to support project delivery objectives.
· Monitor project schedules, milestones and contractor performance and assist in reporting on project progress and project variations.
· Respond to project-related enquiries and assist in resolving operational, scheduling and stakeholder issues.
· Prepare project reports, submissions, forecasts and performance updates for management review.
· Collect, maintain and analyse project information relating to budgets, timelines, risks and project outcomes.
· Track project risks, issues and variations and escalate matters requiring management attention.
· Coordinate project communications and maintain accurate records to support project governance and compliance requirements.
· Assist with procurement activities, contractor engagement, work order administration and project delivery processes.
Skills and Experience
- Diploma, Advanced Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, Project Management, Construction Management or a related field; or equivalent relevant industry experience.
- At least 3 years' experience in project administration, project coordination, construction administration or a similar role.
- Experience supporting residential, commercial or construction-related projects will be highly regarded.
- Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate and communicate effectively with contractors, consultants, suppliers and other stakeholders.
- Experience preparing and maintaining project documentation, reports, schedules and project records.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a project environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
