East to West Plant Services is a leading civil construction company with over 40 years of industry experience. We provide tailored, cost-effective, and environmentally sound solutions for our clients. Our team works seamlessly to deliver excellence across major civil, commercial, and construction projects. Due to our continued growth, we are looking for a full-time Drainer to join our dedicated team.
Key Responsibilities:
· Read and interpret project specifications with accuracy.
· Install and maintain sewer, stormwater, water pipelines, watermains, and below-ground drainage systems.
· Inspect, test, and ensure the integrity of stormwater drainage and other drainage procedures.
· Install trench support systems as required.
· Lay pipes, fittings, drains, and other apparatus for sewer and drainage systems.
· Set up and operate pipe lasers and other equipment for accurate leveling (e.g., dumpy levels, string lines).
· Manage drainage work sites, including removing excess water from pits, trenches, or excavations.
· Assist with plan layout and material marking when necessary.
· Direct and support plant operators to ensure smooth project execution.
· Comply with WHS standards and maintain efficiency in all aspects of drainage and pipework.
· Adhere to WHSE & Quality Systems and follow company policies and procedures.
· Participate in relevant training programs as needed.
Key Requirements:
· A relevant qualification in plumbing, drainage or civil construction, or a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in drainage and civil construction.
· Strong reliability, work ethic, and safety-conscious mindset.
· A valid driver’s license.
· An OHS card is required; a Confined Space Ticket is advantageous (training can be provided).
· Ability to work outdoors in physically demanding conditions, with a willingness to undertake regular overtime.
· Ability to perform physically demanding outdoor work and work effectively as part of a team.
