We are seeking an experienced and skilled Barista to join our team in a full-time permanent basis. This role is suitable for candidates with advanced espresso knowledge and leadership capability.
Key Responsibilities
As a barista at La Pause Miam, you will be responsible for delivering high quality coffee and beverages while ensuring smooth daily operations. You will play a key role in maintaining our service standards and creating a warm, welcoming atmosphere for all customers.
- Prepare and serve high-quality espresso beverages to consistent standards
- Operate and maintain commercial espresso machines and grinders
- Dial in coffee daily and manage extraction consistency
- Train junior staff in coffee preparation and workflow efficiency
- Monitor stock levels of coffee beans, milk and bar supplies
- Maintain food safety and hygiene standards
- Provide professional customer service in a high-volume environment
- Assist with opening and closing procedures
About you
- Proven experience as a barista in a busy cafe environment
- Strong knowledge of espresso extraction, milk texturing, and coffee preparation techniques
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast paced environment
- Reliable, punctual and team orientated
- Understanding of food safety and hygiene requirements
