About Study NT
StudyNT promotes the Northern Territory as a study destination for international education and training. StudyNT works
with education providers, and the business and local communities to welcome international students to achieve academic
success and discover new pathways to their future in Australia’s Northern Territory.
Primary objective
Manage all aspects of StudyNT projects from inception to review such as the Student Ambassador program and international
student facing events; and communications strategies, related to promoting the Northern Territory as an international
education and training destination.
Key duties and responsibilities
1. Provide effective project management for identified projects and initiatives, including the development,
implementation, monitoring and evaluation.
2. Develop and maintain professional relationships, and work collaboratively with, internal and external stakeholders to
build and nurture partnerships and achieve organisational objectives.
3. Manage information and the timely production of high quality internal and external project proposals, reports, briefs
and communications.
4. Work as a part of team to provide leadership, support and mentor other staff within the StudyNT team.
5. Assist in developing content and working with leading international education marketing partners, to promote the
Northern Territory as a study destination for international students.
Selection criteria
Essential
1. Experience in organisation and project management from inception to evaluation, including administrative, information
and financial management with the demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and initiatives with competing
priorities.
2. Demonstrated well developed oral and written communication, liaison, consultation and negotiation skills, including
experience in implementing communications and marketing strategies.
3. Proven capacity to liaise, consult and elicit cooperation from a range of internal and external stakeholders and the
consistent application of tact and diplomacy, and framing messages in a positive manner.
4. Demonstrated ability to provide leadership, effectively supervise staff and providing mentoring and support to other
team members and students.
5. Demonstrated experience in international marketing and student attraction or the ability to obtain this knowledge.
6. Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with people from diverse cultures.
Desirable
1. Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline.
2. Understanding of the international student recruitment and attraction landscape.
3. Hold a current Northern Territory’s driver’s licence.
