Casual Restaurant All-Rounder / Wait Staff – Mentone is seeking an experienced, high-energy Front of House All-Rounder to join our tight-knit team. Located right near Mentone Station, we are a bustling, fast-paced Italian restaurant focused on great food and friendly service. If you are a reliable hospitality professional who can smash out great coffees and handle a busy floor, we want to hear from you.
What We Need From You:
- Experience: Minimum 1 to 2 years of experience working in a fast-paced restaurant or café environment.
- Barista Skills: Confident and competent in making high-quality coffees (handling a commercial espresso machine, milk texturing, and managing peak-hour drink orders).
- Certifications: Must hold a current Victorian Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certificate.
- Availability: Flexibility to work a rotating roster, including nights, weekends, and public holidays.
- Skills: Strong communication, multitasking ability, a warm customer-first attitude, and the capacity to manage a dedicated floor section.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Greeting and seating customers with a friendly smile.
- Taking food and beverage orders accurately.
- Operating the coffee station and serving drinks.
- Running food and running sections efficiently.
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised restaurant environment.
