About Café Connect
Located within Burnie Brae at Chermside, Café Connect operates Monday to Friday from 7:30am to 2:30pm, offering the local community a welcoming space to enjoy quality coffee, freshly baked treats, and light meals.
What You’ll Be Doing
As a Café All Rounder, you’ll play an important role in creating a positive café experience for every customer. Your day may include:
- Delivering exceptional customer service with warmth and energy
- Preparing quality coffee, tea, and cold beverages
- Assisting with food preparation and short-order cooking
- Taking customer orders and processing payments
- Maintaining food quality and presentation standards
- Cleaning and maintaining café and kitchen areas
- Supporting opening and end-of-day closing procedures, including banking
- Working collaboratively within a supportive team environment
What We’re Looking For
We’re searching for someone who is reliable, energetic, and passionate about hospitality.
To be successful in this role, you will:
- Have previous experience in a café or hospitality environment
- Be available Monday to Friday, including early starts from 7:00am
- Bring strong barista skills and confidence making quality coffee
- Have experience with short-order cooking and basic food preparation
- Understand and follow Australian Food Safety Standards
- Deliver outstanding customer service with a friendly, approachable attitude
- Take pride in your presentation and work standards
- Be organised, proactive, and able to multitask
- Work well independently and as part of a team
- Hold (or be willing to obtain) a current National Police Check
