About the role:
As a Team Leader, you will contribute to the delivery of customer focussed Payroll service to customers of Queensland Health through payroll and related administrative processes and systems.
Your key responsibilities include:
Participate in client engagement meetings and maintain regular communications with Line Managers, Workplace Health and Safety, QSuper and Workcover QLD to provide advice concerning payroll timeframes, processes and requirements relating to Qld Health Workcover and Income protection forms and roster submission timelines.
Allocate work as required to meet payroll processing requirements and timeframes to ensure accurate and timely payroll delivery outcomes.
Manage expectations and deliver services against the defined Payroll Service Catalogue and Support Service Agreements.
Monitor and manage the performance and processing outputs of client service officers within the team to ensure timely and accurate delivery of payroll to clients.

You will bring the capability to lead and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, applying quality-driven strategies to enhance team performance. The ideal candidate will possess high-level expertise in Payroll Services, including the ability to provide accurate, legislation-aligned advice on WorkCover, Income Protection and broader industrial entitlements. Exceptional communication skills are essential, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels, particularly within a context of organisational change.
