We're looking for an experienced Business Development Manager – Major Contractors to grow our Medium Voltage (MV) and Low Voltage (LV) Distribution business across Victoria.

The Opportunity
You'll take a strategic approach to developing Schneider Electric's position with major electrical contractors across Victoria, identifying opportunities early and influencing projects throughout the sales cycle.
Acting as a trusted MV specialist and commercial partner, you'll work alongside our Victoria sales team and broader technical community to turn customer and project needs into compelling Schneider Electric solutions.
What You'll Do

Drive profitable growth across our Medium and Low Voltage Distribution portfolio

Develop strategic relationships with major electrical contractors and key industry stakeholders

Identify major projects early and build a strong, sustainable opportunity pipeline

Engage with estimators, project managers, engineers and commercial decision-makers

Understand project drivers and influence specifications and solution choices

Develop strategic account and opportunity plans for priority customers and projects

Bring together product, technical and commercial expertise to create differentiated customer solutions

Support tender strategy, commercial negotiations and strategic deal planning

Partner with sales team to increase customer penetration and project conversion

Manage opportunities, forecasts and customer activity through CRM and structured sales methodologies
What Will Make You Successful?
We're looking for someone who combines electrical industry knowledge, commercial capability and genuine business development experience.
You'll ideally bring:

An Electrical Trade Qualification, Electrical Engineering Degree, or equivalent industry expertise

5+ years' experience in business development, sales or key account management within the electrical, power, energy, industrial or automation market

Strong understanding of Medium Voltage, Low Voltage, power distribution or electrical infrastructure solutions

Experience developing relationships with electrical contractors and project-based customers

A demonstrated track record of identifying, developing and converting complex project opportunities

Experience with project-based and consultative solution selling

Exposure to tenders, quotations and commercial negotiations
-
Strong commercial acumen and an understanding of the business drivers behind customer decisions

Excellent influencing, negotiation and stakeholder management skills

A proactive mindset and the ability to collaborate across Sales, Product, Engineering and specialist teams
