- Project Development and Implementation Oversight: Assist the CEO in overseeing the entire process of new energy projects—from development and approval/filing through to construction commencement—monitoring the completion of key milestones and coordinating the resolution of various bottlenecks during project implementation. This requires a clear understanding of wind power project processes, approval milestones, and risk control points.
Administrative Coordination and Decision Support: Manage the CEO’s schedule and travel arrangements (especially for international trips), draft various official documents and business correspondence, organize executive meetings, and follow up on resolved matters.
Operations and Production Data Management: Collect production, quality, and operational data, and compile business analysis reports to inform the CEO’s decision-making. In wind power companies with manufacturing operations, you will also assist in tracking sales orders, preparing production schedules, and monitoring production and shipping progress throughout the entire process.
- External Relations Management: As the face of the company, you are responsible for business hospitality and communication coordination with key clients and government agencies.
- Project Experience Is a Hard Currency: Job descriptions frequently include requirements such as “project management experience in the wind power industry” and “familiarity with wind power project processes.” This indicates that, compared to purely administrative experience, your past direct involvement in wind power project development or engineering management will be a significant advantage.
Business travel is the norm: Since wind farms are often located in remote areas and there is frequent need for domestic and international business negotiations, job postings generally list “willingness to travel frequently” as a requirement.
Policy and market acumen: A deep understanding of wind power industry policies, market dynamics, and the competitive landscape is a significant asset for this role.
- Investment and Business Development Support: Accompany or represent the CEO in key business negotiations, project evaluations, and industry summits; manage relationships with government agencies and partners; and assist in advancing business development for domestic and international wind and solar power investment projects. You will be responsible for organizing decision-making materials, drafting business proposals and operational analysis reports, and providing support for investment strategies.
- Cross-Departmental and Cross-Regional Collaboration: Wind power projects often involve multiple departments—including technical, commercial, legal, financial, and engineering and operations—as well as communication with external government agencies, project owners, and contractors. This role requires you to serve as a coordination hub, managing internal and external resources to break down barriers to business progress. For companies with overseas operations, you will also need to coordinate collaboration with international teams.
