Marrickville Auto Body Pty Ltd is looking for an experienced Automotive Electrician to join Simon Auto & All Mechanical Repairs.
The successful applicant will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing and maintaining electrical wiring and electronic systems in motor vehicles and will perform the following duties:
Duties and Responsibilities will include:
· Diagnose electrical, electronic and mechanical faults in light and heavy vehicles using diagnostic scan tools and testing equipments.
· Installing, maintaining, and repairing automotive electrical systems, wiring, and electronic components.
· Testing and replacing batteries, alternators, starter motors, generators, and voltage regulators.
· Repair and replace damaged or faulty automotive wiring, connectors, switches, fuses, and other electrical components.
· Installing and connecting electrical equipment, electronic components, and vehicle accessories to vehicle power supplies.
· Dismantling, inspecting and replacing defective electrical and electronic components and assemblies.
· Diagnose and adjust engine control systems and related electronic components where required.
· Conduct electrical troubleshooting, vehicle servicing, and preventative maintenance.
· Assist with general vehicle servicing and related mechanical repairs where required.
· Work alongside other technicians to diagnose and resolve complex vehicle faults.
· Testing vehicle systems after repairs to ensure they are operating safely and correctly.
· Maintain records, tools, equipment, and work areas in accordance with workplace health and safety requirements.
Skills and Experience
· Certificate III in Automotive Electrical Technology or equivalent relevant qualification.
· At least 2 years' work experience in automotive electrical, diagnosis, repair and maintenance.
· Strong diagnostic, fault finding, and problem-solving skills.
· Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced environment.
· Good attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
· Well-developed personal communication skills.
· Possess the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
· A current Australian driver’s licence.
Pay: $80,000.00 – $85,000.00 per hour
