Position: Motor Mechanic
Location: Marrickville
Employment type: Full-time – 38 hours per week
Work Location: In person
Salary: AU$75,000.00 – AU$85,000.00 per year
Marrickville Auto Body Pty Ltd is looking for an experienced Motor Mechanic for our Simons Auto Electrics and All Mechanical Repairs location who can perform the following responsibilities:
Duties and Responsibilities will include:
· Inspect vehicles and conduct diagnostic tests to identify mechanical problems and determine required repairs;
· Diagnose, repair and replace faulty parts, such as engines, brakes, transmissions, steering and suspension systems;
· Perform scheduled servicing and routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, tire rotations, and tune-ups;
· Test and adjust repaired components and conduct road tests to ensure vehicles are operating safely and properly;
· Use computerised diagnostic equipment, specialised tools and service manuals to help fault diagnose and repairs;
· Communicate with customers to explain the identified faults, necessary repairs and provide cost estimates;
· Follow workplace health and safety protocols and guidelines when carrying out repairs and servicing for both employees and customers.
Skills and Experience
· Trade Qualified Mechanic (at least Cert III and IV in Automotive)
· At least 2 years' work experience is required
· Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
· Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced environment, rewards given
· Well-developed personal communication skills
· Possess the ability to work in a team environment
