Who we are:
MyStep to Mental Wellbeing provides a range of services aimed at supporting people wanting to improve their emotional and mental wellbeing. The program uses a stepped care model, which ensures that the services are matched to the needs of the person receiving them.
We provide services both face to face and via virtual care (telehealth), meaning we can connect in a way that suits client circumstances.
MyStep to Mental Wellbeing is made possible by funding from the Murrumbidgee Primary Health Network through the Australian Government’s PHN Program.
What you’ll be doing:
The MyStep Team Manager provides management and leadership for the multidisciplinary MyStep to Mental Wellbeing team across the Western Sector of MLHD. The position provides high level coordination and management of the suite of mental health services within the MyStep to Mental Wellbeing Western Hub, to include delivery of the stepped care mental health model that offers a range of services from low, medium and high intensity, to severe and complex, with intensity able to be increased or decreased as needs change.
Key Accountabilities
Collaborate with Clinical Leaders to optimise MyStep to Mental Wellbeing resources for effective outreach schedules, clinics, and service stream availability.
Ensure team's clinical performance by setting clear role expectations and fostering accountability.
Oversee implementation of MHDA and MLHD strategies, care models, new services, systems, processes, and interventions.
Prepare and submit reports as per MyStep to Mental Wellbeing contract, ensuring timely data upload via PMHC-MDS.
Monitor and ensure team meets KPIs set by Murrumbidgee Primary Health Network.
Lead regular PCCCQ meetings focusing on Patient Safety and Quality, addressing complaints, quality improvement projects, QARS audits, and providing team feedback.
Participate in Adverse Event Reviews and implement and monitor recommendations.
Deliver on finance and performance KPIs reported through the MAM process and other necessary reporting.
Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:
A degree from a recognised tertiary institution in a relevant health related discipline. The applicant will have post-graduate qualifications in mental health or be working towards same. *Postgraduate qualifications must be obtained within 3 years of appointment.
Minimum of 3 years full-time post graduate experience in a Mental Health setting. Proven experience conducting comprehensive mental health assessments and developing collaborative treatment and care plans with consumers, families and carers
Current Drivers license and ability to travel for work purposes
