Role Overview
This role involves assembling, wiring, testing, and commissioning modular electrical switchboards in accordance with Australian Standards and energy authority requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble switchboard frames, cabinets, and electrical components
- Install busbars and complete control wiring
- Perform electrical and mechanical testing (e.g. insulation resistance, continuity, polarity)
- Inspect and verify electrical connections and terminations
- Conduct commissioning and configuration (e.g. trip settings, power monitoring systems)
- Ensure compliance with AS/NZS 3000, AS/NZS 61439, and WHS policies
Required Skills & Experience
- Electrician (Electrical Fitter/Mechanic) Qualification is mandatory
- Electrical Engineering Degree would be considered favorably
- Experience with modular switchboard assembly and schematic wiring
- Minimum 3-5 years experience with modular switchboard assembly and wiring
- Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams
- Proficiency with testing tools (multimeters, insulation testers, micro-ohm testers)
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- High attention to detail and quality workmanship
- Ability to work independently and safely
- Good communication skills (written & verbal English)
- Knowledge of Australian Standards and electrical regulations
- Australian work rights will be assessed on a case-by-case basis

Pay: $70,000.00 – $79,000.00 per year
