Room 19 is a vibrant Asian fusion brunch café located in the heart of Adelaide CBD. We are passionate about delivering high-quality food, exceptional customer service, and memorable dining experiences. Due to continued business growth, we are seeking an experienced and motivated Cook to join our kitchen team.
Location: Adelaide SA
Salary: $75,000 plus superannuation based on experience
Key Responsibilities
-Preparing and cooking a variety of café and Asian fusion dishes in accordance with established recipes and quality standards.
-Assisting with menu preparation and daily food production.
-Monitoring food quality, presentation, and portion control.
-Ensuring food is prepared and stored in compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations.
-Checking the quality of ingredients and reporting stock requirements.
-Assisting with inventory control and stock rotation.
-Maintaining a clean and organised kitchen environment.
-Working collaboratively with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient service during busy periods.
Skills and Experience
-Relevant Certificate III qualification or higher in Commercial Cookery, or equivalent experience.
-Minimum 2 years of relevant commercial kitchen experience.
-Experience in café, brunch, or Asian fusion cuisine will be highly regarded.
-Strong understanding of food safety and kitchen operations.
-Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
-Reliable, punctual, and able to work weekends and public holidays.
