The Role
We're looking for a qualified and experienced Swimming Instructor to join our team on a casual basis. You'll be delivering group and one-on-one lessons for beginner to intermediate swimmers, helping students build confidence and skills at their own pace. Patience, encouragement, and cultural sensitivity are at the heart of how we teach — some of our members are accessing aquatic programs for the first time, and your ability to create a safe, respectful, and empowering experience will make all the difference.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver swimming lessons for women and children of all ages and abilities
- Assess student progress and adapt teaching to individual needs
- Maintain a safe pool environment and respond to emergencies as required
- Communicate effectively with students, parents/guardians, and centre staff
- Keep accurate records of student attendance and progress
What We're Looking For
- Current Swimming Teacher qualification (AUSTSWIM or Swim Australia Teacher of Swimming and Water Safety)
- Current First Aid and CPR certificates
- Working With Children Check
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Reliable and punctual with flexible availability
