About the Role:
Based at our Perth office, we are currently seeking suitably qualified and energetic Mechanical and Piping Designer Drafter who can take on unsupervised 3D drafting and design and checking duties. The ideal applicant will have at least a Diploma in Engineering – preferably Mechanical and previous Computer based drafting experience (AutoCAD / Plant 3D). An interest in Mechanical and Piping as well as experience in the Gas and Energy sector, will be advantageous. To be successful, you will preferably have experience with elements of the following:
Design Drafting
- Preparation and revision of design drawings using various software platforms – primarily AutoCAD
- Ability to check drawings for technical accuracy,
- Preparation of Plot plans, Layouts and detail design drawings
- Exposure to AutoCAD, AutoCAD Plant 3D.
- Preparation of presentation materials using MS Office suite of products,
- Interest in learning additional skills to support the company design requirements.
Essential Qualities and Background
- Minimum 8 years’ experience in design and drafting is required.
- Strong knowledge of Autocad 3D
- Candidates with previous experience in checking will be highly regarded.
- Verify that all designs are to required standards and that the objectives of the project
- are met,
- Diploma in Engineering – Mechanical (desirable),
- Computer based drafting experience (AutoCAD ),
- Strong computer literacy skills with advanced knowledge of MS applications,
- Ability to work efficiently, effectively and to hard deadlines,
- Willingness to work on a range of projects as workload dictates,
- Aid other disciplines and participate in review meetings (if requested), in accordance with Project requirements,
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for both internal & external stakeholders,
- Flexible attitude to rapid changing project requirements,
- Happy to be part of a team.
