The Role
An exciting opportunity has become available for a Stormwater Engineer to join our growing team in Sydney.
You will be responsible for preparing stormwater management designs and supporting documentation for residential and commercial developments, while working closely with our structural and civil engineering teams.
The ideal candidate is motivated, detail-oriented, able to manage multiple projects, and committed to delivering high-quality engineering solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare stormwater drainage designs for residential, commercial and industrial developments.
- Design On-Site Detention (OSD), rainwater harvesting and stormwater management systems.
- Prepare Stormwater Management Reports (SMR) and supporting engineering documentation.
- Liaise with councils, architects, builders, certifiers and other consultants.
- Assist with Development Application (DA), Construction Certificate (CC) submissions and Compliance Development Certificate (CDC).
- Ensure designs comply with Australian Standards, council requirements and relevant engineering guidelines.
- Coordinate with structural and civil engineers throughout project delivery.
- Assist with project planning and delivery within required timeframes.
Key Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
- Experience in stormwater engineering and drainage design.
- Proficient in AutoCAD.
- Experience with MUSIC, DRAINS, HEC-RAS or other stormwater modelling software is highly regarded.
- Good understanding of Australian Standards, Australian Rainfall & Runoff (ARR), and local council stormwater requirements.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to work both independently and within a team.
- Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- need minimum 1.5 years working experience
- Current Australian Driver Licence is preferred.
- Visa status: Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident (PR), or full working rights in Australia.
