A fantastic opportunity for a Registered Nurse / Midwife looking to progress into a senior position. At Frances Perry we are committed to providing exceptional care to our patients in the special care nursery. We operate a 14 bedded special care nursery that facilitates CPAP and High flow when required for our patients. We are seeking an experienced and compassionate assistant nurse unit manager to join our wonderful MDT. In this pivotal role, you will lead a team of nursing staff, ensuring the highest standards of care are provided to our patients.
The Associate Nurse Unit Manager (ANUM) is responsible for supporting the operational leadership, clinical management, and professional supervision of the Special Care Nursery team. The ANUM provides expert neonatal nursing care and coordinates safe, family-centred care for neonates requiring special care services, including respiratory support such as CPAP and high-flow therapy. The role works collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to ensure high standards of clinical care, staff development, patient safety, and operational efficiency within the SCN. The ANUM acts as a clinical leader and role model, supporting staff to deliver evidence-based neonatal care in line with organisational policies and professional standards.

To succeed in this role, you must display strong clinical knowledge and competence within an Special Care Nursery setting. You will hold a passion for client care and a high standard of customer-focused service in line with Ramsay's core values. You will have exceptional communication skills and have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
You will also bring;

Relevant qualifications and Registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse

Minimum three (3) years working within a SCN or NICU

Flexibility to be available weekends, weekdays and evenings

Clinical leadership experience or post graduate specialty qualifications will be highly regarded

Current clinical experience working in Neo-natal or Paediatric facilities.
