Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the day-to-day operations of the retail business to ensure smooth and efficient workflow
- Plan and implement strategies to increase sales, profitability, and overall business performance
- Lead, supervise, train, and motivate staff to achieve business objectives and maintain high service standards
- Manage staff rostering, performance monitoring, and workplace productivity
- Ensure excellent customer service by handling enquiries, feedback, and resolving customer concerns professionally
- Monitor inventory levels, manage stock control, coordinate ordering, and maintain product availability
- Develop and implement merchandising strategies to maximise product presentation and sales opportunities
- Analyse sales reports, market trends, and customer preferences to identify areas for improvement
- Manage budgets, financial records, cash handling procedures, and operational expenses
- Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers, customers, and business stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with company policies, workplace health and safety requirements, and relevant retail regulations
- Monitor product quality, pricing, and promotional activities to support business growth
- Identify opportunities for operational improvements and implement effective business solutions
Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma or higher qualification in Retail Management, Business Management, or a related field
- Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in retail management or a similar leadership role
- Strong understanding of retail operations, sales management, and customer service practices
- Proven ability to manage, train, and motivate a team effectively
- Experience in stock management, inventory control, and supplier coordination
- Ability to analyse business performance and implement strategies for improvement
- Strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple responsibilities effectively
- Good understanding of workplace health and safety requirements
