About the role
The Clinical Nurse Specialist – Neurofibromatosis Clinic plays a pivotal role in delivering expert, patient-centred care for adults with neurofibromatosis at The Royal Melbourne Hospital. Working within a multidisciplinary team, you will provide advanced clinical assessment, care coordination, patient education, and ongoing support for patients and their families as they navigate complex and often lifelong healthcare needs.
As a key member of the service, you will act as a central point of contact for patients, liaising with neurosurgeons, oncologists, nursing, allied health, primary care providers, and external treatment services to ensure seamless, coordinated care. You will support multidisciplinary care planning, facilitate referrals and follow-up, contribute to outpatient clinics, and help ensure patients receive timely access to the services and treatments they need.
This rewarding opportunity is ideal for an experienced nurse who is passionate about improving patient outcomes, providing compassionate care, and working collaboratively within a specialist service. Through clinical leadership, education, and quality improvement activities, you will contribute to the ongoing development of a high-quality neurofibromatosis program while embodying the RMH values of putting people first, leading with kindness, and achieving excellence together.
