This senior clinical leadership role offers the opportunity to influence service design, lead medication safety and governance initiatives, and work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative, consumer-centred pharmacy services. The successful applicant will play a key role in advancing clinical pharmacy practice and helping build the future model of mental health pharmacy services across WSLHD.

What you'll be doing
As the Mental Health Senior Pharmacist Grade 3, you will provide advanced clinical pharmacy services to consumers receiving inpatient mental health care across WSLHD. You will play a key role in optimising medication management, supporting recovery-focused care, driving medication safety initiatives, and providing expert clinical leadership within Mental Health Pharmacy Services.
Deliver specialised clinical pharmacy services including medication reconciliation, medication reviews, patient counselling, discharge planning and psychotropic medication management
Provide expert medication advice to multidisciplinary Mental Health teams, supporting safe, evidence-based and patient-centred care
Lead quality improvement, medication safety and systems enhancement initiatives, including participation in Mental Health Safe Use of Medicines activities
Mentor, educate and support Grade 1 and Grade 2 pharmacists, pharmacy students and other healthcare professionals
Contribute to innovative models of care, clinical governance activities and service development across Mental Health Services within WSLHD

Essential Requirements:
Qualification: Pharmacy qualifications conferred by Tertiary Education Institutions (e.g. Bachelor of Pharmacy) AND must satisfy e 2 classification as per Health Employees Pharmacists (State) Award.
Registration: Full and unrestricted Pharmacist Registration with AHPRA.
Selection Criteria:
Registered as a practicing pharmacist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
Demonstrated extensive clinical knowledge and skills in the provision of pharmacy services, in particular within a Mental Hospital service. Some levels of understanding on NSW Mental Health Act 2007 is desirable.
Demonstrated excellent communication skills both written (includes report writing and presentation), verbal and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with all levels of professions and patients/carers.
Demonstrated capacity to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team with a high degree of self-motivation and ability to effect practice change.
Demonstrated organisational, problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritise work and manage time to meet deadlines.
Demonstrated commitment to professional development, including experience in the development and implementation of quality improvement project.
Current motor vehicle driver's licence and ability and willingness to travel and work across campus WSLHD.
Demonstrated willingness and capacity to participate in a regular on-call roster, including after-hours and weekend coverage.
