Therapies For Kids has an exciting opportunity for an experienced paediatric occupational therapist. In this role, you will play a crucial part in improving the lives of children with diverse needs, helping them reach their full potential through evidence-based occupational therapy interventions. The mixed caseload includes children with physical disabilities, those who are neurodiverse as well as those who are typically developing.
What you'll be doing
· Conducting comprehensive assessments to identify the unique needs of each child and develop individualised treatment plans
· Delivering high-quality occupational therapy services to support children's development of fine and gross motor skills, sensory processing, self-care, and social-emotional skills
· Collaborating with families, teachers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic, child-centred approach
· Documenting client progress and maintaining accurate records in accordance with professional standards
· Participating in regular team meetings and professional development activities to stay up-to-date with the latest research and best practices
What we're looking for
· Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, with current registration as an Occupational Therapist in Australia
· Strong clinical skills in assessment, intervention planning, and evidence-based practice
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children, families, and multidisciplinary teams
· Experience working with both physical and intellectual disabilities desirable
· Equipment prescription experience advantageous
Pay: $90,000.00 – $95,000.00 per year
