About the Role
Join a dedicated mental health team where your expertise will shape exceptional consumer care and clinical outcomes. As a Consultant Psychiatrist, you’ll provide specialist psychiatric services, lead multidisciplinary teams, mentor future clinicians and help drive quality, safety and innovation across the service.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality psychiatric assessment, treatment and care
- Lead clinical decision-making across multidisciplinary teams
- Guide registrars, junior doctors and medical students
- Support nurse practitioners and nurse practitioner candidates
- Build strong partnerships across mental health and health services
- Maintain best-practice standards and professional compliance
- Contribute to quality, safety and clinical risk activities
- Participate in clinical audit and service improvement initiatives
- Support research, education and continuous learning
- Represent Mental Health Services on committees and working groups
- Collaborate with medical, nursing, allied health and support staff
- Participate in the on-call roster and out-of-hours services
About You
You are a skilled and collaborative Psychiatrist who combines clinical excellence with strong leadership, a commitment to quality care and a passion for developing others.
- MBBS (or equivalent) and Specialist registration
- Fellow of RANZCP with ongoing CPD participation
- Deliver high-quality mental health care and leadership
- Guide and develop junior doctors and trainees
- Build strong relationships across multidisciplinary teams
