We’re looking for a Government & Stakeholder Engagement Manager to play a critical role in progressing some of Australia’s most significant, city-shaping projects while strengthening our social licence to operate reputation as a trusted partner to governments, communities and industry.
The opportunity
Reporting to the General Manager and working as part of our national Government Relations & Stakeholder Engagement team, you’ll operate in a highly regulated, politically sensitive and issues-rich environment, working across our NSW and Queensland portfolio.
You will lead engagement strategies for major projects and assets, partnering closely with development and asset teams to unlock complex planning pathways, shape policy outcomes, and drive stakeholder alignment across the full asset lifecycle.
This is a high-impact role within a listed company , requiring confident engagement with senior stakeholders, strong judgement in complex environments, and the ability to deliver outcomes across competing priorities.
What you’ll do
- Lead stakeholder engagement and approvals strategies across major mixed-use developments

Build, manage and influence senior government, agency and industry relationships

Identify and mitigate political, regulatory and reputational risks

Provide strategic advice to project teams and senior leaders

Deliver high-profile milestones, events and announcements

Prepare executive briefings, speeches, stakeholder and industry materials

Play a key role in delivering Mirvac’s national government and industry relations strategies
- Represent Mirvac across government and industry forums in NSW and QLD

Contribute to delivery of the Stakeholder Relations & Customer strategy to unlock value and protect and enhance Mirvac’s reputation and license to operate
What you bring
- 5–7+ years’ experience in government affairs, stakeholder engagement, corporate affairs or development within property, mining, energy or other highly regulated sectors

Strong existing networks across government, agencies or political environments

Proven track record navigating planning and approvals outcomes in complex environments
- Strong understanding of political, planning and regulatory frameworks
- Ability to manage competing priorities across multiple projects

Exceptional communication, influencing and relationship management skills

Sound judgement in high-profile or sensitive stakeholder environments

Experience operating in a listed company or corporate environment (desirable)
