About the role:
We are currently seeking an experienced Team Leader to assist the Divisional Support Logistics Team, located within the Transit and Safety Division of the Transit and Public Safety Command.
The role of the Team Leader is to provide management and leadership for a team of staff in all aspects of Logistics Management in accordance with the duties outlined in the position description (refer to the attached advertisement documentation).
The successful applicant will lead a small dynamic team who provide logistical support to approximately 1700 members across the division including vehicles, equipment and infrastructure supply and maintenance.

Your duties will include:
- Supervising and providing guidance to logistics team members.
- Assisting and reporting to the Transit Safety Division management team.
- Liaising with both sworn and VPS Victoria Police employees.
- Coordinating and managing the Logistical support for the Transit Safety Division.
As the successful applicant, you will have:
- Demonstrated leadership experience, preferable within an administration team.
- High level of customer service delivery experience.
- Well-developed communication skills across a variety of forums.
- The ability to prepare high level reports for Senior Management.
- High level interpersonal skills with the ability to work with and lead a diverse range of staff and deal with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
Requirements and relevant information:
- (1) full time, ongoing position currently available.
- The Logistics Support Team Leader will be located at 311-313 Spencer Street, Docklands.
- The successful applicant will be required to undergo National Security Vetting, achieve, and maintain a security classification as determined by the Department Head. To achieve this, applicants must be an Australian Citizen. OR Applicants must be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or hold a valid work permit or visa.
- The successful candidate will be required to undergo pre-employment checks which may include fingerprint checks and misconduct screening.
- In accordance with organisational policy, all Victoria Police employees are required to be fully vaccinated (including a booster vaccination) against COVID-19 or hold a valid medical exception. As such your employment with Victoria Police is subject to providing evidence of your vaccination status.
