Summary
Suburban Rail Loop (SRL) is an integrated transport infrastructure and planning project that will deliver a 90km rail line linking every major train service from the Frankston Line to the Werribee Line via Melbourne Airport, as well as investment in the suburbs, better connecting Victorians to jobs, retail, education, health services and each other. Suburban Rail Loop Authority (SRLA) is the statutory body established to plan all elements of the project, procure builders, develop structure planning for SRL Precincts and oversee construction and the other changes that will help transform Melbourne and Victoria.

About the opportunity
The Senior Engagement Advisor supports the delivery of high-quality stakeholder and community engagement activities across their assigned precincts and/or stakeholders. Working under the direction of the Manager, Engagement, the role contributes to effective planning, coordination and implementation of engagement activities that help communities understand and navigate the impacts, benefits and opportunities of the SRL.
The role works closely with key internal stakeholders including SRLA’s Communications team, delivery teams and technical specialists, as well as construction partners to provide clear, timely and accurate information to local communities, ensuring engagement activities support safe project delivery and maintain positive stakeholder relationships. The Senior Engagement Advisor helps identify emerging issues, prepare advice, support coordinated responses and contribute to the development of engagement plans, collateral and communications.
Operating in a co-located environment, the role contributes to strong integration across SRLA, delivery partners and alliances by supporting consistent engagement approaches, building constructive relationships and ensuring community insights inform decision-making.
The Senior Engagement Advisor also contributes to a positive, collaborative team culture within the Engagement branch by modelling SRLA values, supporting capability uplift and delivering high-quality engagement activities that strengthen SRLA’s reputation and social licence
