ROLE SUMMARY:
Senior Project Lead - New Unit Transitions is responsible for leading client-side project activities from building practical completion through to operationalisation and handover of new VICSES Units including relocated Units. The role is accountable for coordinating relevant VICSES departments to ensure the successful operationalisation of new Units (excluding construction) in accordance with OH&S requirements, contractual and regulatory obligations, and project expectations.
This includes managing internal fit-out works, acquisition and coordination of operational assets, furniture, equipment, technology, consumables, and operational requirements necessary for Unit readiness. The role is also responsible for developing and executing detailed facilities transition project plans, maintaining robust project controls, and engaging effectively with volunteers and key stakeholders. Reporting to the Manager – Infrastructure & Property, the role provides regular briefs and progress updates to the Manager - Infrastructure & Property, the Executive Director Community and Corporate Services and the Chief Officer Operations.

As the largest road rescue network in Australia we have specialist teams that provide a 24/7 response to road accident and trauma incidents. We assist Victoria Police in search and rescue operations, and play an important role in supporting the Country Fire Authority (CFA), Fire Rescue Victoria (FRV), Parks Victoria and the Department of Energy, Environment and Climate Action (DEECA) during major bushfire and emergency incidents.
