About the Role
The Australian Badminton Academy (ABA) is looking for an organised, confident and people-focused professional to join our growing team.
This is not a traditional administration role. You will play a key part in growing student enrolments, supporting parents and creating an outstanding experience for families from their first enquiry through to enrolment.
The role is approximately:
- 70% Student Enrolments & Sales
- 30% Customer Success & Parent Support
You will speak with parents, understand their child’s needs, recommend the right class, follow up enquiries and help improve enrolments and class occupancy across ABA’s Sydney venues.

About ABA
Founded in 2002 by Olympian Anna Lao AM, the Australian Badminton Academy is one of Australia’s leading junior badminton academies.
Each week, ABA helps hundreds of children build confidence, discipline, resilience, friendships and healthy habits through sport.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond to phone, website, email and social media enquiries
- Speak with parents to understand their child’s needs, goals and availability
- Recommend suitable classes, venues and programs
- Convert enquiries into trial bookings and student enrolments
- Follow up enquiries consistently until there is a clear outcome
- Handle common objections relating to price, distance and scheduling
- Resolve parent questions and concerns professionally
- Support referral, review and re-enrolment campaigns
- Maintain accurate customer records, notes and follow-up actions
- Work closely with coaches to place students into suitable classes
- Contribute ideas to improve enrolments, class occupancy and the customer experience

Quarterly bonuses will be linked to measurable results, including enrolment conversion, class occupancy, referrals and customer outcomes.
Mandarin or Cantonese language skills will be highly regarded.

A current Driver Licence is required, as occasional travel between ABA’s Sydney venues may be needed.
Badminton experience is not required.

Initial training and occasional attendance at ABA venues will be required so you can properly understand our programs, coaches and families.
