A fantastic opportunity has presented itself for a Senior RF Engineer reporting to Manager- RAN Design FW.
The Senior RF Engineer role focuses on enabling effective network design for fixed wireless services, particularly as nbn expands its 5G capabilities. It is responsible for developing and delivering cost-optimised, high-quality network designs that meet capacity, performance, and customer experience targets while supporting business objectives.
The role drives design strategy, standards, governance, and continuous improvement, including automation of design processes, and ensures effective collaboration with internal teams, delivery partners, and stakeholders. It also involves oversight of design tools, offshore teams, and delivery governance to ensure efficient operations, timely delivery, and adherence to KPIs, while maintaining strong focus on innovation, performance, and operational excellence.
The ideal candidate brings strong experience in telecommunications with deep expertise in wireless technologies such as 4G, 5G, and network capacity and performance management. They possess solid knowledge of RF design, coverage planning, and wireless network optimisation, along with strong analytical skills to interpret complex data and drive insights.
The role requires experience managing vendors and delivery partners, improving processes and systems, and driving strategic outcomes in complex environments. Additionally, the candidate demonstrates excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills, with proficiency in network design tools and data analytics platforms, and the ability to work effectively under pressure, present clear recommendations, and operate with agility in dynamic situations while adhering to organisational policies and safety standards.
