Macedon Lodge, home of Melbourne Cup winning trainers, is seeking an energetic and creative Marketing, Communications & PR Coordinator to help drive the next phase of growth across our racing, syndication and ownership businesses.
This is an exciting opportunity to work within a high-performance sporting environment, creating engaging content, building brand awareness, strengthening owner engagement and supporting the promotion of our stable.
No two days are the same. One day you may be creating social media content from the stable or the track, the next alongside the trainers preparing owner updates, preparing for customer visits or Open Days, or assisting with our sales and syndication business.
About the Role
Reporting directly to senior management, you will play a key role in delivering the stable’s marketing and communication strategy.
Responsibilities include:
- Managing social media channels and content calendars
- Producing engaging written, video and photographic content
- Coordinating media releases and PR opportunities
- Assisting with race day, owner and promotional events
- Managing website updates and digital communications
- Developing email marketing campaigns and owner newsletters
- Supporting horse syndication and sales campaigns
- Building relationships with media, owners and industry stakeholders
- Monitoring campaign performance and reporting on results
- Maintaining brand consistency across all communications
About You
You are a proactive, organised and creative communicator who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment.
You’ll ideally have:
- Qualifications in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations or a related field
- 2+ years’ experience in a marketing, communications or PR role
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong social media and digital marketing capability
- Experience with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite or similar platforms, as well as MiStable or Prism
- Photography and video editing skills
- Strong attention to detail and project management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A passion for sport, especially the thoroughbred racing industry (highly regarded)
