About the position
We are looking for individuals based in Melbourne who enjoy sharing the city’s culture, history, and hidden gems with international visitors.
This role involves leading small-group walking experiences and providing engaging insights about Melbourne’s neighborhoods, landmarks, and local lifestyle, while ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead walking experiences for small groups (approximately 3–8 hours)
- Share general insights about Melbourne’s culture, history, and daily life
- Introduce neighborhoods, landmarks, and local highlights
- Provide local tips, recommendations, and cultural context
- Adapt each experience based on visitor interests and pace
- (Optional) Support themed or food-related experiences
Profile Required
- Strong knowledge of Melbourne and its main areas
- Comfortable interacting with international visitors
- Friendly, reliable, and confident communicator
- Fluent in English (additional languages such as French, Spanish, German, Italian, or Chinese are a plus)
- Comfortable walking for several hours
- Experience in tourism, hospitality, or customer service is a plus
