POSITION DESCRIPTION

Your role will be to promote the company and its services in a professional manner at all times whilst ensuring a creative and effective solution is delivered on each project as allocated by the Management Team - accountable on aspects relating to creativity, practicality, time, cost and quality.
SKILLS REQUIRED
Requisite Skills:- Deliverables:-
- An above average ability to communicate both orally, and in Liaise with the Client on a daily basis, and develop a rapport written form with the Client, earning their respect and confidence
- Understand and implement NICHE PROJECTS’s obligations Participate in weekly Project Control Meetings and action under the Services Agreement allocated tasks in a timely manner after the proceedings have concluded Fulfill NICHE PROJECTS’s obligations under the Services

PROJECT WORK – DESIGN & QUALITY

- Formal Tertiary qualifications Fulfill NICHE PROJECTS’s obligations under the Services e.g. BA Interior Architecture, Design, or a recognized Agreement qualification in a related field combined with relevant industry Adhere to the project programme established with the Client experience, in a capacity equivalent to the position offered. Preparation of feasibility study material to assist the Project
- Support the profitable delivery (which will vary from project to Manager in compiling an accurate order of cost project) of the project via the application of value engineering Preparation of strategic planning reports including the ability principles to; interpret interview material to document affinity diagrams, Understand the design and the application of the Client’s brief and space budgets; create space standards relevant to the
- Strategic Masterplanniing skills client’s requirements; articulate visually, orally and in written
- Strong creative skills form a succinct understanding of the client’s brief and
- A sound and current technical product knowledge appropriate workplace concepts
- A sound knowledge and understanding of construction / fitout Pro-Actively anticipate and seek client requirements to detailing ensure currency of the brief throughout all phases of the
- An ability to actively listen to the Client’s requirements and project interpret them Develop design solutions that are within the client’s budget A sound knowledge of BCA and other relevant Statutory Code and Project Brief as defined within the Strategic requirements, and an ability to implement them. - A developed knowledge of Building Services design and Minimise variations by actively seeking to understand the installation client’s requirements during the strategic planning and
- Ability to use, with atleast basic competancy the following design development phases of the Project software packages: Apply value engineering principals (buildability and cost- MS Word efficiency)- Excel Liaise with Project Manager to ensure optimum design / cost- AutoCAD outcomes- Manual drawing skills, both technical and creative Assist the Project Manager in the preparation of brief- Powerpoint material to engage all sub-consultants- Adobe Acrobat Prepare all necessary technical documentation and- Adobe Photoshop Creative Suite schedules required to tender and construct the project withminimal site variations, as a result of omission
- Co-ordinate the engineering services design with the architectural / interiors documentation to minimise site variations, and delays on site
- Prepare all statutory and relevant Authority application materials and ensure that the conditions of the Approval documentation is implemented in a timely manner and within the timeframe necessary to deliver the project within its agreed timeframe.
- Liaise and co-ordinate with the designated Project Manager to ensure that the internal design team, sub-contractors, suppliers and sub-consultants are working efficiently and effectively
- Prepare supplementary information during construction in consultation with the Project Manager to resolve design issues, requested variations or minimise programme issues that may arise during construction
- Participate in weekly site meeting with sub-contractors and suppliers, and action allocated tasks in a timely manner after the proceedings have concluded
- Participate in the Defect inspections conducted by NICHE
PROJECTS as and when requested by the Project Manager to assist in ensuring the delivery of the highest standard of quality finish
- Participate in the Post Occupancy study conducted by
NICHE PROJECTS at completion of a project, liaising withNICHE PROJECTS’s Change Manager, and the Client’s designated representativeINTERNAL REPORTING (Cost and progress)

- Literacy and ability to use the following software packages: Liaise and assist the Project Manager to validate Tender
- Excel responses
- Word Prepare and submit weekly time sheets (submit every
Monday by Midday, for the week prior)
- Other project related reports as requested, from time to time either by the Project Manager, or your Direct Report

Pay: From $90,000.00 per year
