WHAT ARE WE OFFERING?
An opportunity to embark on a rewarding career with SA Health, where you will play a key role in delivering high‑quality physiotherapy services to older adults within the Strathalbyn Hospital GEM Unit. Covering a maternity leave position, this role offers the opportunity to apply and further develop your clinical expertise in geriatric care while contributing to integrated, patient‑centred services that support independence, function, and safe transitions of care.
What You Will Do:
- Provide geriatric physiotherapy care within the Strathalbyn Hospital GEM Unit, supporting mobility, function and safe discharge.
- Manage a varied caseload within a multidisciplinary team in a rural aged‑care setting.
- Contribute to clinical supervision, quality improvement, and ongoing professional development.

- Apply your physiotherapy expertise to assess, plan, and deliver evidence‑based interventions aligned with geriatric care protocols and clinical standards.
- Support older adults to achieve functional and restorative goals through collaborative, patient‑centred care planning and intervention.
- Contribute to a high‑performing multidisciplinary team through clinical support, supervision, mentorship, and sharing of best practice.
- Actively participate in quality improvement, service development, and initiatives that enhance physiotherapy services within the GEM Unit and rural community.
