Details: Infrastructure Canberra is seeking a senior leader to drive a major reform of public housing repairs and maintenance services.
As Project Director, you will lead the design and delivery of a new insourced service model, overseeing operating model development, ICT enablement, and large-scale service transition. This role combines strategic leadership, commercial expertise, and program delivery to improve service outcomes for tenants and deliver long-term capability for government.
Key responsibilities

Oversee operating model design, business case development, and transition planning

Drive integration of ICT systems and service delivery operations

Establish governance, risk, and performance frameworks

Lead stakeholder engagement and organisational change across government and industry
About you

Extensive experience in facilities management or complex service delivery

Proven leadership of large-scale transformation or reform programs

Strong commercial acumen, including business cases and financial modelling

Ability to lead teams and influence across complex stakeholder environments

Eligibility/Other Requirements: Relevant tertiary qualifications in engineering, construction management, facilities management, project management, business, or a related discipline, or significant demonstrated experience in a similar field.
Extensive experience (10+ years) in infrastructure, facilities management, or large-scale service delivery programs consistent with the Infrastructure Manager/Specialist (IM3) classification requirements.
Demonstrated experience leading complex, high-value or high-risk projects or programs, ideally including service reform, operating model design, or large-scale organisational change.
Notes: A Merit Pool will be established from this selection process and will be used to fill vacancies over the next 12 months. Selection may be based on application and referee reports only.
Please note, this position will be moving to a new workplace designed for activity-based working (ABW). Under ABW arrangements, officers will not have a designated workstation/desk.
