We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accounts Receivable Officer to join our Finance team in Australia on a Part-time basis on 3 days per week Monday to Wednesday. This role is primarily responsible for daily bank and store sales reconciliations, payment allocations, invoicing, and month-end support, ensuring accurate financial records and timely resolution of discrepancies. The ideal candidate will have at least two years’ relevant experience, Excel and SAP skills-AR/Sales related, and a basic understanding of accounting principles and company compliance requirements.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Perform daily and weekly store reconciliations across multiple retail locations

Reconcile POS (Point of Sale) transactions, cash, EFTPOS, and bank deposits

Monitor and reconcile store sales against system reports and bank statements

Investigate variances in store takings and payment records, and follow up with stores in a timely manner

Work closely with store managers and the finance team to resolve reconciliation discrepancies and operational issues

Process customer invoices, credit notes, and receipts accurately and efficiently

Allocate incoming payments to customer accounts and maintain accurate records

Follow up on outstanding payments and account discrepancies

Investigate and resolve payment allocation issues and reconciliation variances

Assist the General Ledger (GL) team with month-end closing and accounts receivable reporting

Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation

Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and internal financial controls
