Job description
- Provide quality direct support to participants in line with their support needs, the program they are accessing, and all support plans including the service users Individual Plan.
- Enhancing daily living skills and social & community participation.
- Household tasks, and development of their capacities.
-Community support - going shopping, walks, outdoor activities including exercise, organised outings and other activities with participants.
- Provide transport using company-owned or personal vehicle.
- Create case notes to improve our services to participants.
- Daily tasks including school drop off and pick up, collection of groceries, assistance with preparation of daily tasks.
Essential Criteria:
- Current First Aid and CPR certificate.
- Current unrestricted Drivers License and comprehensive car insurance, plus own reliable transport.
- Experience and ability to develop a positive relationship with participants and support their Individual Personal Plan.
- Valid NDIS Orientation and COVID-19 Infection and Control Certificates of Completion.
- Ability to maintain participant’s confidentiality and privacy.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work before and after school hours.
- Yellow Card, Police Check and Blue Card.
- Training in mental health, community services, autism spectrum disorder, or disability services is desirable but not essential.
