Al Zahra College is seeking enthusiastic and qualified Primary and Secondary Teachers to join our Casual Teacher Pool. Casual teachers are engaged as needed to cover classes for permanent staff who are on leave, ensuring continuity of quality teaching and learning across our school. This is a casual position with no guaranteed hours; teachers in the pool will be contacted as relief teaching needs arise.
- Deliver engaging, curriculum-aligned lessons in the absence of the regular class teacher, following the lesson plans and programs provided.
- Manage classroom behaviour and maintain a safe, respectful and productive learning environment.
- Adhere to and uphold the Islamic ethos, values and culture of Al Zahra College in all interactions with students, staff and the wider school community.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance and behaviour, and provide feedback to relevant teaching staff as required.
- Follow all College policies and procedures, including child protection, work health and safety, and pastoral care guidelines.
- Be available at short notice to accept casual teaching assignments as required.
- Collaborate professionally and courteously with the College's teaching and administrative staff.
Essential:
-
NESA accreditation as a teacher in NSW.
- Current Working with Children Check (WWCC).
- Full working rights in Australia.
- Relevant teaching qualification.
Desirable:

Experience teaching in an International Baccalaureate (IB) school.
- Knowledge of the IB Curriculum and its alignment with the NESA Curriculum.
- An understanding of, and respect for, Islamic values and practices, consistent with the College's ethos.
