Scheduling Team Lead

The Opportunity:
We are currently seeking a dynamic Scheduling Team Lead with a high level of problem solving and a customer service focus to join Workforce Hub and lead the Brightwater at Home Scheduling team based in Inglewood.
The role:
Reporting to the Workforce Scheduling Manager, you will lead a high performing team to deliver a cohesive, client-focused scheduling service that meets operational, financial and compliance objectives. You will be accountable for coordinating the daily operations of the scheduling office, to deliver efficient rostering and scheduling practices that align with employment agreements, staff contracts, and agreed workforce strategies.
Scheduling experience is essential to your success in this role; however, it is equally as important that you have demonstrated experience leading and managing a team. This position will suit a focused individual who prides themselves on their accuracy, attention to detail and efficiency.
Some key responsibilities include:
- Provide leadership, coaching, and strategic direction to the Scheduling team, fostering a high-performing, customer-focused culture aligned with Brightwater’s values. Drive team capability through mentoring, professional development, performance coaching, succession planning, and continuous improvement initiatives, while supporting employee engagement and accountability.
- Support the Workforce Scheduling Manager to ensure all relevant budgeting, planning, and reporting tools are up to date, functional and accessible to Schedulers.
- Ensure employee rosters are updated to reflect actual attendance and leave information to enable accurate and timely delivery of time and attendance data for payroll and client billing purposes.
- Act as the first point of contact for staff payment queries relating to rosters.
- Monitor data entry practices to ensure consistent and accurate rostering data is provided for reporting purposes and prepare required reports.
- Provide reports to identify workforce trends and emerging issues and implement responsive initiatives.
- Identify improvement opportunities using a continuous quality improvement approach to problem solving.
- Communicate with clients, colleagues and community in a professional manner that shows respect for individuals. This includes resolving conflicts and issues using a problem-solving approach.

To be successful in this role you will have:
- Demonstrated experience and strong skills in managing staff resources and rostering staff ( Alayacare desirable ).
- Previous experience in a team leader role, preferable within the health sector.
- Excellent data entry and computer skills with strong knowledge of Microsoft applications.
- Demonstrated understanding of, and the ability to effectively interpret and apply, the principles of industrial instruments and employment contracts ( desirable ).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
- Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills and the ability to liaise with diverse people in an informative, positive and customer-focussed manner.
- Working knowledge of human resource management principles, such as staff recruitment and selection, training and development and performance feedback ( desirable ).
- Working knowledge of home care support packages and the aged care system
- Current Drivers Licence.
- A satisfactory National Police Clearance that is less than one year old
