Playful Pups is looking for an Adult Trainee Dog Daycare Attendant to join our team 3 days per week.
This role would suit someone who genuinely loves dogs, enjoys being active, takes pride in doing things properly and wants to build real skills in animal care.
This position is intended to be offered as a traineeship pathway, likely through the Certificate III in Animal Care Services, depending on eligibility and training provider requirements.

About the role
Dog daycare is incredibly rewarding, but it is also active, physical and hands-on. It is much more than playing with dogs. Our team is responsible for keeping dogs safe, reading behaviour, managing group play, maintaining clean spaces and creating a positive experience for both dogs and their owners.
You will be trained in:
- Safe dog handling and supervision
- Reading dog body language
- Managing group play
- Cleaning and hygiene standards
- Feeding, enrichment and activities
- Customer service basics
- Daily daycare routines and safety procedures
- Working as part of a professional animal care team
We are looking for someone who is:

- Physically fit and happy to be on their feet
- Willing to clean properly and take pride in the facility
- A good listener who is open to learning
- Positive, friendly and team-focused
- Mature enough to understand that safety always comes first
- Interested in animal care as a genuine long-term pathway
Requirements
- Must be available 3 days per week
- Must be comfortable around dogs of different sizes and personalities
- Must be able to start early mornings when required
- Must be willing to complete a traineeship
- Must have own transport as shifts and times vary
- Previous animal experience is helpful, but attitude, reliability and care matter most
