Amal Z Y Pty Ltd is a growing provider of telecommunications services, delivering installation, maintenance, and technical support solutions across a range of communication networks. We are seeking a skilled and motivated Telecommunications Technical Officer in Townsville QLD to join our team.
.Key Responsibilities:
- Installing, configuring, maintaining, and repairing telecommunications equipment and systems, including network hardware and transmission systems
- Testing and diagnosing faults in telecommunications networks and equipment, and implementing corrective actions
- Monitoring network performance and ensuring optimal system functionality and reliability
- Assisting in the design and development of telecommunications networks and infrastructure
- Interpreting technical drawings, plans, and specifications to carry out installations and upgrades
- Conducting routine inspections and preventive maintenance of telecommunications systems
- Providing technical support and troubleshooting assistance to clients and internal teams
- Ensuring compliance with safety standards, regulations, and company procedures
- Preparing technical reports, documentation, and maintenance logs
Skills & Experience Required:
- Relevant qualification in Telecommunications, Electronics, or a related field
- At least 1–2 years of relevant work experience (or as required under ANZSCO guidelines)
- Strong knowledge of telecommunications systems, network infrastructure, and fault diagnostics
- Ability to read and interpret technical documentation and schematics
- Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
