Kellyville Family Dental is seeking a dedicated and professional Dental Receptionist to join our team on a full-time basis at our Kellyville Ridge NSW practice. As the first point of contact for our patients, you will play a vital role in creating a welcoming and efficient experience for everyone who walks through our doors. This position is essential to the smooth operation of our dental practice and directly contributes to patient satisfaction and business success.
What you'll be doing
- Greeting patients with a warm, professional demeanour and managing check-in procedures
- Scheduling and confirming appointments, ensuring optimal use of practitioner time
- Processing patient payments and maintaining accurate financial records
- Answering telephone enquiries and directing calls appropriately
- Maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to privacy compliance requirements
- Updating and managing patient records and treatment history information
- Coordinating appointment reminders and follow-up communications
- Assisting with general administrative tasks and reception duties as required
- Supporting the clinical team with patient flow and scheduling efficiency
- Handling patient queries and concerns with professionalism and empathy
What we're looking for
- Previous experience working as a dental receptionist or in a similar healthcare reception role
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a professional demeanour
- Strong organisational and time-management abilities to manage a busy reception area
- Proficiency with dental practice management software and general computer systems
- Ability to multitask effectively whilst maintaining attention to detail
- A genuine passion for patient care and creating positive patient experiences
- Understanding of dental terminology and practice procedures
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
- Reliability and professional commitment to maintaining confidentiality
- Customer service experience and the ability to remain calm under pressure
- Current knowledge of health and safety regulations within dental practices
